The July 2012 exhibition of Now.Here.This. features Shift, a collaboration between Minkyung Lee and Abbigail Knowlton Israelsen, that explores the meaning of home from their studios in Incheon, Korea and Bloomington, Indiana. Weekly, during the course of the exhibition, Lee and Israelsen exchanged photographs of their living environments and communities via email. Then each, with very little understanding of the actual physical space of the other, interpreted and imprinted their own meaning, creating a synthesis of experiences from disparate surroundings and traditions.
